Amy Cappellazzo, international cohead of postwar and contemporary art at Christie's advises:
"In general, if you are spending under $ 10,000, buy what you love. Under $ 5,000, treat yourself to an indulgence. Under $ 2,500, buy something that you like on a lark. Go with your impulse."
In other words do not talk about investment in art if you are not able to digg in your pockets more that $ 10k per artwork.
So, when I ask for less tha $10,000 for a piece of art, please do not bargain! :)
